Autism Recognition and Response for 1st Responders
The rate of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has grown to one in every 38 births. As first response professionals, your chances of coming in contact with children and adults with autism is greater than ever before.
This training will give you a better understanding of autism spectrum disorders and how to recognize someone who falls under the ASD umbrella. You will come away with an increased awareness of the best approaches to use when you interact with children and adults who are affected by ASD.
This training will:
- increase responder and citizen safety
- enhance communication and response skills
